Nicaragua’s Elixir, Flor de Cana Rum Tour

…a perfect relaxing, easy upscale tour for anyone wanting to see a little landscape, take some photos of landmarks and purchase some Nicaraguan rum and quality souvenirs in a beautiful air conditioned facility

Your tour will begin at the main gate in Corinto where you will find Julio Tours waiting for you with a sign with your name on it.  In order to ensure everyone receives the most value from their time please leave the ship and find us in a timely fashion.  Please be advised that Flor de Cana does not accept late entry to the tours and does not refund admission fees, so it is imperative for everyone that we leave on time.  From Corinto we will take a 40 minute ride in a comfortable air conditioned vehicle stopping on the way to take photos of Nicaragua’s impressive volcano, San Cristobal which is still active to this day.

We will arrive at Flor de Cana Rum factory where you will have plenty of time to experience the complete production of Nicaragua’s largest industry, “rum”.  You will learn about the history of the Pellas family, one of the most influential families in Nicaragua.  You will sit in the Pellas family’s private tasting cellar, an experience which only recently has been made available to the public.  Here you will learn about the preparation of the different varieties of Flor de Cana rum.  You will learn the secret of the oak barrels and how the Pellas family’s commitment to conservation is a very important aspect of every part of the process.  An impressive accomplishment for the company and Nicaragua.

Visiting the factory is a recommended attraction in Nicaragua that is as interesting, as it is tasty.  Flor de Cana takes pride in their tours and their rum has a taste and distillation process unmatched by many others.  If you don’t already have a fondness for rum I assure you will by the end of the presentation.  The final stop will take us to the museum and lounge area for a bit more history and a bit more of Flor de Cana’s fabulous elixir.  As well as a variety of tantalizing rum for purchase at a reduced rate there are many other souvenirs for your home or as a gift to friends and family.
